The plain-language rules for using the site and API.

1 · Agreement

By using this website or the API, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2 · The service

We publish day-level school calendar data for US public school districts: free per-district pages for the public, and a paid API for businesses.

3 · The data is unofficial

Important. We are an independent database, not a school, district, or government body. Some dates are estimated and labeled as such. Always confirm important dates with your district's official calendar. You use the data at your own risk, and we are not responsible for decisions made in reliance on it.

4 · Acceptable use

API access is licensed per the data license. Don't redistribute the raw dataset as a competing product.
Don't scrape the free pages at scale — that's what the API is for.
Respect the rate limit (10,000 calls/month) and keep your API key confidential.

5 · Accounts & billing

The API is $99/month or $990/year, billed through Stripe. Cancel anytime; access continues to the end of the paid period. We don't refund partial periods.

6 · No warranty

The service is provided "as is," without warranty of accuracy or completeness. We work hard to be right and to label what we're unsure of, but we can't guarantee every date.

7 · Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, HazeyData is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the data or service.

8 · Changes

We may update these terms; we'll change the date above. Continued use means you accept the update.
