An active API subscription grants you a non-exclusive license to use our calendar data in your products, analyses, and models. The public per-district pages are free for personal use.
You may
Use the data internally and in customer-facing products, dashboards, forecasts, and research.
Create derived works (features, visualizations, models) built on the data.
Show individual dates and derived insights to your users.
You may not
Redistribute the raw dataset — in bulk or substantially — as a standalone or competing database.
Resell direct API access or share your API key.
Attribution
Appreciated but not required for derived works: "School calendar data via schoolschedulesdatabase.com."
Accuracy
The data is unofficial and some dates are estimated (and labeled as such via source_method and confidence). It's provided without warranty — build in a tolerance for the estimated portion, and surface the confidence to your own users where it matters.
Term
The license lasts as long as your subscription is active. If you cancel, stop using the data (cached copies for a reasonable wind-down are fine).
